Ceramics that speak of emotions: Decocer’s design proposal at CERSAIE

author: Decocer

Decocer presents its new brand and corporate identity at the most international ceramics industry fair.

Ceramics that speak of emotions, material expressiveness, and authenticity are some of the keys to its proposals for this fall.

The firm specializes in the custom production of small-format ceramics,  which it designs and manufactures exclusively for manufacturers, distributors, and specifiers worldwide.

The ceramic firm Decocer specializes in the design and custom-made manufacture of small format pieces and participates once again in CERSAIE 2024 with new ceramic collections full of great material expressiveness and a language that speaks of emotions. Likewise, the international event begins with a new brand identity and look, as we recently announced.

For the new 2024-2025 season, Decocer delves into the world of textures and materials. The collections they present symbolize the authenticity of ceramics, going beyond the origins of the material, proposing reliefs, finishes, and effects of roundness and sincerity, in which ceramics itself is the protagonist and speaks its language.

The Nebula collection features a relief evoking an intense worn crystal, with a robust glaze emulating precious gems. It is a versatile porcelain collection available in square (115×115 cm) and rectangular (56×232 cm) shapes in 7 shades.

Inspired by modernism, the Volcano collection draws small pieces of glazed earthenware embedded in a base. By echoing the traditional trencadís style, these tiles give a renewed contemporary look at the Mediterranean aesthetics of the 19th century. The collection is of porcelain tiles in two shapes: square 11.5×11.5 cm and rectangular 5.6×23.2 cm, in a range of autumnal colors with great personality.

The Bamboo collection draws inspiration from the serenity of Japanese forests. Highly textured ceramic pieces with natural reliefs of great ceramic expressiveness, this collection captures the transition from natural ocher tones to the brightness of gold leaf. To make the transitions series is composed of three pieces, ranging from dark through the transition of golden tones and ending with a lighter look. With a mighty chromatic range, it has seven colors.

The Stratos collection speaks of materiality and radiates sensations. With a curious aesthetic, as though it were alive, it draws inspiration from the finishes of Raku ceramics. This influence comes through in its composition, which incorporates white granules that provide a distinctly ceramic texture with a genuine expressive quality. Available in square (13×13 cm) and rectangular (65×26 cm) formats, with a chromatic range of soft and natural tones that stand out against its stony identity.

Geo is marked on its surface by a renewed passage of time. With its vibrant finish, the collection reminds us of the old chipped walls in which the pieces come to life again over the years, as its inner shine contrasts with the edges of the pieces. Rectangular in size and very elongated 6.5X39.6 cm. allows for different arrangements. A range of 6 colors where intense tones coexist in balance with white and sand.

The Mikado Wall collection is a diverse range that combines flooring with wall coverings, demonstrating the wide range of possibilities offered by Decocer ceramics. The wall pieces are available in 10 monochromatic colors in elongated rectangular formats (5×25 cm and 5×50 cm), with matte and glossy finishes in various tones where retro colors stand out.

This wall covering can be paired with Mikado Floor, a porcelain floor tile (20×20 cm) with a clean and linear design, allowing for different placement configurations to create various patterns on the floor in the same tones as the wall covering. The lighter tiles feature glazed color lines on their surface, allowing for multiple combinations of shapes and colors.

With Horizon, the small-format ceramic company wanted to represent the reflections of particles found in beach sand mixed with remains of shells, gold, and other minerals. On a matte base, colored scales appear in random patterns, reflecting on the ceramic surface, with each piece being unique. The collection, produced from porcelain stoneware, is available in a square format (15×15 cm) in 8 autumn colors.
